You Could Say I'm A Prague Pro

Summer break can be a unique hodgepodge of experiences -- one moment you are home, nestled in the warmth (and perhaps suffocation) of absolute familiarity, and if you're lucky, the next moment thrown into the tornado of... newness. Tuesday you drive with ease, navigating the potholes you forget you've memorized; Wednesday, you pat yourself on the back for walking a few blocks without the aid of Google Maps. I'm starting to feel comfortable in the streets of Prague. I'm certainly no expert, but hey! I've successfully taken the tram twice now so I guess you could say I'm a pro. Even getting lost in Prague doesn't feel like a mistake; last night a group of us were circling old city in a failed attempt to find a specific theater, but I was too mesmerized with the architecture to feel stressed. The Edison Cru has had the unique experience of rehearsing wherever we can find space -- in public parks, or today in the lounge of a hostel. We rehearsed music over the sounds of R&B playing over the loudspeakers, and ran lines in coffee shops. Every now and then a hostel resident would walk into the room, only to quickly run away with a terrified look on their face. Whoops! There's little solace for them outside -- looking out the window we see a fellow fringe group rehearsing Twelfth Night on the sidewalk. The shenanigans continue nonstop -- tonight our playwright Josh and stage manager Zach are DJing the Fringe club.
